This morning was a highlight during the Kvikkjokk-Saltoluokta stage of the Swedish Kungsleden: a quiet, misty sunrise on the shores of the mirror-like Lake Sitojaure. Soft hoarfrost covered the land, and it was not until the sun had risen high enough to melt the ice and burn the mist away, did we return to the autumnal colours of the vast arctic landscape around us.
